Igniting Writing 4 Writing for 7-11 years - This is a super book - easy and quick to use. I am teaching children to write recounts. Skeleton diagrams perfect for planning and helps children to write in sequence.
Great for schools - While I appreciate the previous review, it is a very useful book to have in school. It provides quick toolkits that can be used to help children remember the key features of particular texts but does not try and dampen teachers expertise with boring, un-creative worksheets. Would buy the next one!
Disappointed - I was looking for something to help my ten year old daughter practice her writing skills and develop a taste for writing. This was a bad choice. I imagined it would have some fun writing exercises, to apply some of the advice it gives - it doesn t. It is very repetitious and is basically just page after page of stating the obvious. Sorry, but I really wouldn t recommend it.
